Beauty in 7C is for anyone who's looking to expand their creative ideas. Oftentimes, whethe a New Yorker or a New Orleanian, you're encouraged to move and buy a big house or brownstone. But only with intellectual curiosity, a desire for color, and a willingness to experiment with different art genres, does any place become a true home whether that home is in between beams and ceilings or in the body and mind.

Who Am I?
I go by Anika Lani. I left the magical borough of Brooklyn for the magical city of New Orleans in hopes of deepening my writing. My preferred passion is writing fiction.
However, I relish an opportunity to explore how culture and beauty intertwine, how spiritual beliefs dictate one's creative pursuits, and how cultural politics informs one's sense of style.
In Brooklyn, I relied on my community and neighbors who lived in my apartment building or in one of the buildings on my block, for creative inspiration, personal swag operandi, and general wisdom for navigating life. In New Orleans I do the same.
